Underfull Table Cloth

underfull-table-cloth-1
This special cloth by Kristine Bjaada hides butterflies in its damask pattern. When a colored liquid like wine is spilled on it, the cloth reveals the butterfly pattern in itself. The cloth is still a concept but it can make design out of a mess of a crowded evening party!!!

Mark A. Reigelman has designed this Bite silverware in an effort to help raise awareness of worldwide epidemics such as starvation and obesity. I don’t know whether this would work as intented but i liked the general idea. Just wondering what my mom would think seeing one of those on the table:)))

Water Cube Pavilion:MVRDV

thewatercubemvrdv1
MVRDV just released plans for their own mesmerizing Water Cube pavilion, an H2O-filled structure designed to express the power and beauty of the oceans. The Water Cube’s structure is composed of water filled basins, which act as both a temperature buffer as well as the main attraction. A bit like being inside an aquarium, the hollow inner sanctum will be lit with water-filtered light, and will be used as an exhibition center during the Expo.(via@inhabitat)

Well, this made me laugh…I watched the demos and they didn’t make me want one, but it seems that less tech-savy people like it a lot….

Radiator Mug

The idea of a mug without handle has always seemed impractical to me, but this looks like a good interpretation of it and i actually liked it. Both the form and the idea behind are really cool; The bottom fins (called heat sinks) take inspiration from the radiator mechanics found within the PC or an engine, to keep things cool. Likewise these ceramic fins eliminate the need for a handle and keep your hands cool while holding a steaming cuppa coffee/tea.
Designed by Stephen Reed, you can buy one of these from here

PIVOT:The “minimalist” Movie

The animated film “Pivot” by Kevin Megens, Floris Vos, Arno de Grijs and André Bergs….
Liked the polygons, the trails of movement and the architecture of the context…simple colors-simple shapes-deep concept:)
